House Extensions

Our house extension projects are designed to expand the footprint of your existing property by adding one or more new rooms. Extensions can be either single or double storey and are typically constructed to the rear, side, or as a wrap-around of the original structure.  

With a choice of flat or pitched roof designs, we can enhance natural light and transform underused areas into bright, functional spaces—such as open-plan kitchens, dining rooms, or seating areas. A well-designed extension provides a practical and cost-effective alternative to moving, offering additional living space while significantly improving both the usability and value of your home.

Types We Deliver:

  • Positioned at the back of the property, these are ideal for enlarging kitchen, dining, or living areas, and are among the most popular forms of home expansion.

  • Built along the side of the house, often in narrow alleyways, unused side passages or existing garages locations, these extensions efficiently utilise otherwise potentially wasted space.

  • A combination of rear and side return extensions, this design creates a substantial increase in interior space and can significantly alter the layout of the ground floor.

  • Constructed above existing structures, such as garages or conservatories, these extensions maximise vertical space without sacrificing garden or external areas.

  • These involve the addition of two floors, either over a new extension or the existing property, offering considerable extra space for additional bedrooms, bathrooms, or living areas. Can be delivered as side, rear or both.

Loft Conversions

From creating a stunning master bedroom with an en-suite to incorporating a walk-in wardrobe, we’ll help you make the most of your space.

Types We Deliver:

  • These are the simplest, involving the installation of roof windows (like Velux) into the existing roof slope. They don't create extra headroom or floor space but are a cost-effective way to add natural light and ventilation.

  • Dormers are extensions that project outwards from the roof slope, creating vertical walls and increasing headroom and floor area. They come in various forms, including single, double, flat-roofed, and gabled dormers.

  • These are suitable for properties with hipped roofs (sloping on all sides). They involve extending the sloping side of the roof to create a gable (vertical) wall, maximizing space.

  • Mansard conversions involve a more extensive alteration of the roof structure, typically at the rear of the property, creating a flat roof with sloping sides. This type of conversion typically provides the most significant increase in space but is also the most complex and expensive.

  • These combine a dormer extension on the rear of the property with a dormer on the side return, creating an L-shaped living space.

  • This type of dormer has a pitched roof (gable) rather than a flat roof, offering a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
